Scientific principles and sample applications documented on film are combined in our video library, such as our JATI 2KDS Cavity Foam System. They complement each other and produce maximum effect when combined. Theory and practice at the click of a button.
JATI DSS Roof Timber Foam
The remediation of mould-infested roof timber requires customised solutions. JATI DSS Roof Timber Foam was developed specifically for this purpose. The foam fills in cracks, gaps and smaller cavities. The good visibility of the foam in roof timber areas that are often hard to reach is also a positive factor.
Remediation of screed insulation in a nursery school with the JATI EDD Screed Insulation Flushing System
Mould and bacteria often form in the screed insulating layer after water damage. In all areas where children spend time, particular attention needs to be taken to ensure that harmful bacteria cannot pose a danger to their health. Using this nursery school as an example, it is clear what new disinfection possibilities exist and what the benefits are for all parties involved.
Disinfection foam to combat mould in hollow floors
Water damage often leads to the formation of mould and bacteria in hollow floors. Suitable remediation measures for these situations have been virtually impossible to find until now. Often the decision is made to rip out the entire floor and install a new one, which not only entails a lot of costs, but is also a great inconvenience to the users. Attempts to eliminate the bacterial contamination by inserting mist into the insulating layer, mistakenly referred to as fogging, are also just as unproductive and usually have very unsatisfactory remediation results.
JATI presents a new process with JATI 2KDS Cavity Foam System in the video using the example of a cavity floor. You can see in the time lapse how the foam spreads in the cavity, thus reaching and then killing all the affected bacteria.
Remediation project: cavity floor of an office building
Area: 175 m²
Cavity: 26 m³
Material consumption: 325 litres of JATI 2KDS Cavity Foam System (concentrate)
26,000 litres of foam produced
Disinfection of the ambient air in a sports hall after the remediation of areas infested with mould
During the remediation of areas infested with mould, high quantities of mould spores are often released that can not only spread throughout the affected room, but usually spread throughout the entire building due to the good dispersibility of many spores. This situation makes it necessary for all surfaces to be deep cleaned subsequent to any remediation. However, since it is not just surfaces that may be heavily contaminated with spores, but also the ambient air, we recommend carrying out measures so that spores are killed and lose their dispersibility.
JATI offers JATI SV Spore Destroyer), a product that can be applied in both a hot and cold fogging process.
Mould in the area surrounding a refrigeration cell
It is often only possible to use special processes to kill and remove mould in hard-to-reach areas. The use of JATI 2KDS Cavity Foam System, which was pressed into the affected areas below and next to the cell in the case presented, is particularly suitable here. Hygiene plays a decisive role especially in commercial kitchens and in the food industry. Bacterial contamination in the area surrounding refrigeration cells is in no way acceptable.
Remediation of a shaft with JATI 2KDS Cavity Foam System
A mould infestation may occur in the utility shaft of a multi-family residential building as a result of water damage.
Since other tasks consistently crop up in shafts on site due to a multitude of different circumstances, we have drawn up a checklist that specifically deals with the topic of “shafts” and can serve as an aid if required.
Application of JATI 2KDS Cavity Foam System
Mould and bacteria occurring after water damage leads to significant problems in multi-storey buildings. Dismantling measures can usually not be carried out without incurring extremely high costs. Use of the JATI Screed Insulation Flushing System is unsuitable because of the risk of the product running down into lower floors. JATI 2KDS Cavity Foam System is suitable for these situations because it only causes a relatively low ingress of moisture.
Mould infestation on blind shuttering
A mould infestation was identified on blind shuttering in the basement of a sports hall. The mould that occurred should be killed and removed. A mould remover that is as safe as possible and leaves no harmful residues was to be used to kill the mould. Alcohol did not come into consideration because of the large area and the risk of fire and explosion. It was therefore treated with JATI SPE Mould Remover that fulfilled all the requirements.
After the treatment, the dead mould could be removed after a reaction time of 60 minutes.
Remediation of a sports hall after a mould infestation as a result of water damage
A mould infestation occurred under the sprung floor in a sports hall as a result of water damage. Dismantling measures did not come into consideration for various reasons. The expert therefore recommended carrying out a disinfectant treatment with the new JATI 2KDS Cavity Foam System. In addition to the high effectiveness, the low fluid ingress is also a significant benefit of this method.
35,000 litres of foam was produced and spread over an extensive area under the sprung floor with a hose system.
